YONECO staff have been trained in Hope Kit usage. Hope Kit is a tool for progressive behavior change for the prevention of HIV and AIDS at the community level in Malawi. A total of 12 staff members from the organization’s target districts took part in the training. They trained staff are expected to monitor the implementation of a project that will increase community knowledge and actions against the spread of HIV and AIDS in Thyolo, Phalombe and Chiradzulu districts. The training was conducted by Josephine Mkandawire from John Hopkins University. The participants are expected that the trained staff will be able to:
• Protecting themselves and their families on issues of HIV and other related issues
• Facilitating sessions of HIV prevention using the hope kit at all levels
